Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Lead Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join the Central Engineering Team. In this role, you will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all aspects of Control & Instrumentation (C&I) engineering, ensuring the successful development and implementation of process automation and control systems across multiple industrial projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Report to the Head of Engineering and drive standardization, optimization, and safety across projects.
• Provide technical leadership in the C&I discipline and serve as the escalation point for project teams.
• Lead the standardization of C&I systems and equipment on-site.
• Serve as the custodian of C&I standards and guidelines.
• Oversee team competency and resource planning in collaboration with design managers.
• Support the development and handover of new project scopes to Engineering Contractors.
• Manage engineering contracts with third-party suppliers and ensure performance alignment.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Controls, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• PMP certification or equivalent (preferred).
• 8+ years of industry experience in steel manufacturing processes or similar heavy industries.
• 5+ years in a senior C&I engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of European and Swedish standards and regulations.
• Expertise in Technical and Process Safety.
• Proficiency in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), DCS, PLCs, SCADA, and field instrumentation.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, control philosophies, and telecom specifications.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Swedish is a plus.
• Skilled in engineering software, project management systems, and digital tools.
• Strong integrity and courage to ensure adherence to engineering standards.
• Effective communicator with excellent organizational skills.
• Collaborative team player with a passion for successful project execution.
